I have been playing drums on and off for about 25 years or so. In 2013, I bought a kit again and started playing with a band called Black Spyder (Lynda Wellen, vocals; Paul Morton, guitar and songwriting; and Jeff Yourick, bass).
Paul and Jill are our next door neighbors and we had them over for dinner one evening. After dinner we were talking and Jill mentioned that Stephen, their youngest son, and drummer for the band, was going to be leaving the band and that they needed a new drummer. Sonia immediately mentioned that I would be happy to play for the band, and Paul and Jill quickly agreed. And that was that.
